In 2006 I won Sailor of the Year at USFF, and my acceptance speech brought the house down. I received congratulations and kudos' for a month — everyone wanted to get to know me. It was a great time and experience in my life.
Lesson: Everyone loves a winner.
Even me.
I've never been a Jay Z fan, but as of late he has been winning — a string of successes — well beyond that of his past accomplishments, and showing himself to be quite a businessman and role-model. This has prompted me to become a fan. I for the first time bought one of his albums [Magna Carter Holy Grail] and was blown away. Furthermore, in reading articles on him and his recent business dealings, and watching his interviews (hearing his thoughts on a range of topics) I've become impressed with the path he's blazing and I wish him continued success.
